Armenian Musical Instruments

Since the middle ages, the Duduk, the most well-known Armenian woodwind instrument, has been hand carved from the trunk of the wild Armenian Apricot tree found in the highlands of Armenia. That tradition remains to this day. With it's captivatingly haunting sound, the Duduk has been used in mainstream music by such artists as Peter Gabriel and Yanni, as well as in motion pictures such as The Crow and more recently Gladiator, The Passion of the Christ, and The Chronicles of Narnia.
