Extra Ghamish Reed for Professional duduk by Ararat Music. The reed for the Duduk, known as the Ghamish, Ramish, or Yegheg, is a work of art in itself. It is a very wide (one inch) double reed, 9-14 cm long, made from defect-free cane; a thin flexible wood binding slides along the length of the reed and allows its tuning. The reed is held in a mouthpiece about three inches long. Subtle changes in the shape of the reed caused by pursing the lips while playing allows for a continuous range of tones, similar to a violin. Guaranteed for 60 days against defects in materials and workmanship.
