American Hammered Dulcimer with heart-shaped cutouts in sound board, has 46 strings, 12 left & 11 right courses (12/11 = two 1/2 octave). The body is solid rosewood, the soundboard, is mahogany veneer plywood for strength with rods under the soundboard to help with tone and add strength. Movable bridges, stand sold separately. 23 courses of 2 strings each (chromatic). Far left playing courses longest to shortest: D# E F# G# A B C# D E F# G A .
