Elephant bells

Set of 6 graduated solid brass bells with raised floral designs. The upper half of each bell is highlighted by cloisonné-like coloring. Swing the bells in gentle circles to make the Clapper roll over the multiple tines. Each bell provides a soft sustained chime-like sound. The bells are cast in factories in a small town called Jalesar. This is a town in a northern state of India, called Uttar Pradesh; an area well known for brass work. The cloisonné-like coloring is done in another town situated close by, called Moradabad. This beautiful set of bells can be used to decorate a shelf or to present as a gift.
