The Bendir is a frame drum which originates in Morocco. Frame drums are among the oldest and most versatile of drums. Many cultures have frame drums: the Egyptian rik, the Brazilian pandeiro, the middle eastern tar and bendir, and native American versions.

That’s why Meinl designed a compact, light weight frame drum holder that is completely adjustable to fit any frame drum. Four rounded vertical “fingers” slide along individual tracks, and are secured by a knurled knob. This sets the spacing. The frame drum is secured when two spring-loaded screws are tightened so that the vertical fingers grip the frame from inside and out. Set-up and break-down go fast.
